From Paris to Switzerland on Early Aug

My husband and I will be taking the train from Paris to Murren, Switzerland. We will stay in Switzerland from 10 Aug to 15 Aug.

My tentative plan is
10-12 Aug - Murren and surrounding areas
13-14 Aug - Luzern
15 Aug - train to Zurich airport from Luzern to fly home

(1) Should I consider the Swiss Pass or the half month pass? Can this train pass be used if I use SBB.ch to book my train ticket from Paris to Murren?
(2) Any suggestion for the itinerary on the days we stay in Switzerland?

It would be simpler to book your first ticket now just from Paris to Basel, which is the most common connection point and also the border point. A Swiss Travel Pass (full coverage; just hop on the trains) or Half-Fare Card (allowing discounted ticket purchase either online or in stations) would apply for the remaining route from Basel to Muerren, and that part doesn't need reservations nor offer advance purchase discounts.
