We are planning to fly to Frankfurt in early September. We’d like to spend 1 night in Wiesbaden then train to some other spots along the way…maybe Black Forest, Strasbourg, Heidelberg???
Then to Mullen Switzerland for 3-4 nights.
Then?
We are planning 2 weeks so basically 12 nights in the region. We love the mountains and quaint old towns. Love to walk and see how people live(d).
We’re not really into cathedrals and museums. Love architecture, markets, casual dining and nature and of course good wine a beer😊 . We are not young chickens so we like comfortable lodging.
Any suggestion are welcome!
Did you mean Murren? Are you interested in visiting any other places in Switzerland? What airport are you returning from?
Yep it’s Murren. We haven’t made our reservations yet but I guess we could fly out of Zurich or Munich.
Munich? You do realize that it is twice as far from Murren as Zurich ? If you spend 1 night in Wiesbaden and 2-3 nights en route to Murren, then 4 nights in Murren, that only leaves 5 nights, the last night needing to be in your departure city. I would suggest Zurich as your departure airport. Pick one more place in Switzerland to stay that will allow you to easily day trip to the places that interest you most.
