Are you going to Zurich just to see the town or do you have other business there?
Zurich is not in the mountains and is very much a business city. I'd rather spend 4 days in the Alps--to the south.

FWIW,
I love Zurich. So many cool and inviting corners to explore.
Get a 24 or 72 hour ZurichCard from the TI for a reduced price walking tour if the city, free 90 minute boat round trip, and more.
This will also give you an idea of areas that you would like to further explore.
That said, unless you have business in the city, two days would suffice IMHO.

Absolutely go to the Kunsthaus, which is an international-standard art museum.
