Flight layover in Iceland

Is 30 minutes enough for a connecting flight to Zurich

Not normally but if it's through IcelandAir, they will get you through. Keflavik is a very small/efficient airport. Still, 30 minutes seems pretty tight.

It's pretty quick to get through the customs and catch your connecting flight. Do a little investigating before you go (like a month or so) and check to see how often your connecting flight leaves on time. My experience has been that the connecting flights to Europe tend to always be late. If there is only one connecting flight a day, my guess is that they try to hold the plane until all passengers are boarded. The only time I missed my connecting flight was when my arriving flight (from the US) was delayed by 3 hours. And then I still only missed my original connecting flight by 30 minutes. There was another leaving that afternoon so I still made it to Frankfurt.

Also be prepared, when you arrive, the airport can be a little bit of a madhouse. It seems all the flights arrive around the same time and depart around the same time. Every time I've been it's been pretty packed.
