“Full Day - ( Walk from Laturbrunnen to Trümmelbachfälle Falls – Visit Murren - Visit Allmendhubelbahn - Walk Mürren BLM to Winteregg”

On this day, I would suggest reversing the route: take the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp, then walk to Winteregg. That way the views are in front of you instead of behind you. You can take the train from Winteregg to Murren, then go to Allmendhubel, then Murren, then cable car down to Stechelberg. You can take the bus to Trummelbach Falls, then walk back through the valley to Lauterbrunnen.

Are you planning to see the Matterhorn in Zermatt? It's a must-do if the weather is right.

Stanserhorn is wonderful, but a half day activity, not full day, IMHO. The open air Cabrio cable car is fun. We went up to watch the sunset. The train from Lucerne is only twenty minutes, then a two block walk to the base of the lifts.

Do you mean you have no lodging booked? I'm confused.

Have a great time.

All lodging has been book. The Stanserhorn trip from Lucerne will be at the end of our 23 day trip. The other option I mentioned was just to visit Lucerne ( we will probably be tired at this point ) and have a day with no travel. Sorry for the confusion.

A few comments/suggestions for your time in Wengen

Full Day - Wengen>Bern (I doubt you’d have time to also stop in Thun & Spiez. Spiez is a 15 minute walk from the train station and is really better seen by boat. Alternatively you could skip Bern and instead do Thun (lovely city with castle) and then a boat ride on Lake Thun with stops at the castles Oberhofen & Spiez. I’d personally choose this option over going all the way to Bern.

Full Day – Jungfraujoch – Hiking from Eiger to Kleine Scheidegg - Hiking from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengernalp

Full Day – Boat from Interlaken to Gießbach (funicular up, then hike), continue on boat to Brienz, possibly time for Aare Gorge depending on if you left early enough in the morning. If not, just enjoy leisurely boat ride.

Full Day - Panorama Trail: Männlichen - Kleine Scheidegg – Eiger Express to Grindlewald - possibly Bachalpsee (or you could just do Royal Walk add on instead of really crowded Bachalpsee and then continue your walk from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen, skipping Grindlewald/First)

Full Day - Schynige Platte - Visit Wilderswil (nothing really to see) / Harder Kulm (views from Schynigge Platte are far superior and way less crowded…do the Oberberghorn Panorama Trail hike from Schynigge Platte to get much better ridge views of lakes/mountains than super touristy Harder Kulm)

Full Day - Wengen > Lauterbrunnen > Grutschalp Cable Car > Train to Winteregg > Walk to Murren this direction, over to Allmendhubel > optional North Face hike from Allmendhubel which ends at Schilthornbahn where you can cable car down to Stechelberg and take the bus to Trummelbach Falls if you want to wait in the long line for it)

Full Day ( Lowest Priority of all the Days ) – Schilthorn - if this is low priority then you can add Schilthorn you on to the day above if you want to avoid an additional trip over to Murren. If you’re running out of time on the above day, nix the walk from Winteregg to Murren (same views on the train, sit on left side. You can do Schilthorn at the end of the North Face hike or before it.

Priorities for best weather days - Männlichen/Kleine Scheidegg, Schynigge Platte, Murren. Save your Lake days for when weather may not be as nice up in the mountains.

Some things are merely a matter of preference, not necessarily a problem with your itinerary.

Bern is only a further 20 minutes from Thun with no train change needed, so I would certainly keep it in if that is what you want to do. It just depends on if you are more interested in seeing the city of Bern, walking the old town, perhaps seeing the bears and the rose garden, or taking a boat ride with the castle stops that Wanderweg suggests.

Either way, in Thun I can highly recommend stopping for a coffee and croissant, or a yummy piece of cake at Steinmann - a family owned bakery with several outlets around Thun and a favourite location for my husband and I to have our coffee dates. You will find them on the Bälliz (car-free shopping street in town). If you run out of time, they have a take-away shop just before the train station and you can bring something along for your train ride home.

You have the Iseltwald to Giessbach hike planned. I really like this one - through the forest as well as lakeside stretches. A very peaceful hike in my opinion. At Giessbach I like hiking all the way up to the falls right from the lake (not taking the funicular) as there are some good chances to view the falls right from the bottom already and it is a short, easy stretch.

What I like about First is that there you have completely different views from what you have seen so far. If you do keep it in your itinerary, look for the Schreckhorn when you are up there, with its great name and unique shape - a mountain that I like to photograph often.

I agree that there is not that much to see in Wilderswil, although, for me, it is very Swiss with its old farm houses and cows, sheep and goats in the fields. A lot of tourists stay there, but they also have a lot of permanent residents and farms as well, so to me it has an authentic feel to it and I like taking walks there.

You have the walk Mürren - Grutschalp divided into two parts and on two different days. This is only about an hour long flat, easy walk.

Once you are there you will more easily see the lay of the land and can adjust your plans accordingly. Overall I think you are planning on doing some wonderful things and will have an unforgettable time!
