Hello! Does anyone have some insight on visiting the FIFA museum? My 18 year old nephew is a soccer player and interested to check it out.
How much time should be allowed? (I know it depends on each persons interests, but is it detailed, worthy of several hours or one hour is plenty?)
Thank you!
If he's really into soccer, he will find it interesting. Just an fyi, it is mainly about national teams rather than individual clubs. Much of the exhibition is about World Cup tournaments and the development of football in different countries. There are some cool interactive things (videos, pretend you are a referee, ball skills tests at the end) and unless it's 'on tour' you get to see the World Cup trophy. Definitely at least one hour, maybe more if he is really into it.
And if you have a Swiss Travel Pass, it's free.
Thank you very much!! I really appreciate your response!
Thanks!
Maybe the museum will have a replica of Sepp Blatter's jail cell.
Eric, there is a Sepp Blatter Elementary School in Austria. I saw it while on the train from Vienna to Salzburg. But, then, there's no Loretta Lynch in Austria. . .
Seriously, though, Maura, I think it's very thoughtful of you to check this out for your nephew. When will he be there? The World Cup this year is being held in November, so there is likely to be even more on display after that especially since Switzerland qualified and will be playing.
