Few hours in Geneva...what to do

Hey everyone...
We have a few hours in Geneva..must be at airport at 2:30 pm. Our flight is at 4:45pm

Can you suggest what we must see in those hours. Our hotel is Geneva By Fassbind to give you idea.

Thank you

Are you going to be in Geneva already and have had time to look around
prior to flight day? If you are connecting, how long is your layover? It's
not clear from your post just how much time you have and where you are
coming from.

Honestly, the one word answer to your question is "nothing". You can
always wander around, and enjoy the lakefront, etc, but in my opinion
there is no must-see item in Geneva. I mean, Rick does not even have
a chapter on Geneva in the Switzerland book.

We are coming from Zermatt by train and spending night at hotel. So didn't plan Geneva in our travel plans but do have a few hours ...we may just walk around the Lake:)

We recently did an overnight in Geneva on the way home from the Berner Oberland. A friend recommended the Red Cross Museum but we didn’t have time to see it because our train was at 9 am.

Was just there 2 days ago and there is enough to walk around and see. This was at the start and end of the Tour du Mont Blanc hike for me.

First off, for an overnight stay you should get a link to a free transport card from your hotel which allows you to use the trams, buses, and even the small yellow boats on the lake. I enjoyed walking along the lake shore and through the old town (note - this is on a hill). If you drop down the other side you will end up in a park that has a large reformation monument. You could also visit one of the clock museums for an hour or two - I went to the Patek Philippe museum and highly recommended it (10 francs)

Is your flight to a Schengen destination? If not, you may want to give yourself bit more time (for passport control etc.)

In addition to seeing the lake shore, the cathedral and the art and history museum are a good use of spare time in Geneva. They’re close to each other in the old town.

We did a bus tour of the city which was excellent. You would just need to check the times
