Does anyone know if tickets are absolutely necessary to attend the Fête des Vignerons in Vevey this summer? I know the tickets are for the staged ceremony and all, but if all you want to do it go around sampling wines, food and possible other festivities, do you still need tickets?

Thanks. But so far neither of those options has provided me with any information as to what other activities, if any, might be going on in Vevey besides the big spectacle show (which I know you need tickets for).
I would assume, or hope, that there might be special wine tastings, etc, but so far I can't find anything.
