Without a doubt, head to the Berner Oberland region.
Having planned a trip for 6 to Switzerland, I can tell you it’s going to be VERY difficult to find a place that sleeps that many people. Or you might find a place, but it only has 2 bathrooms. You may have an easier time finding 3 or more rentals near each other. We stayed at Chalet Gerbera in Wengen. It has three separate apartments: ground floor is one bedroom, first floor is 2 br/1ba plus sofabed. 2nd floor is 2 br/1ba plus sofabed. If you could rent the whole place, it might work well. Just know it’s a steep uphill climb back to town, or a short downhill walk to catch the train back up to town. The views couldn’t be better, and the host is wonderful. They live in the chalet next door, and rent an additional apartment there also. https://www.chalet-protea-gerbera.com/?lang=en
I'd look at some logistics to see what might narrow it down first. With the great train system, you can get anywhere, but is one airport more likely?
Switzerland is very expensive, so you might want to just pick some random areas to see what needs to be ruled out.
Are people going to be hiking? Can you add something about your interests so this can be targeted a bit more?
We just stayed at at Chalet in Lauterbrunnen

Very traditional. Older couple runs it and they speak very little English. It is a hostel set up so lots of rooms and options (we had two rooms. Boys in twin beds in one and we were in a full size bed down the hall).
