4 adults and 4 kids planning to stay in the Interlaken area.
My question is which Home Rental company would you recommend to look for rooms?
I assume the sooner the better to reserve a place to stay.

I will start with a suggestion for a place we really like in Mürren, the Top Apartments agency which has a number of apartments on offer. We rented Chalet Oberdorf, which sleeps 6; you could combine it with Chalet Oberdorf B in the same building and have space for up to 10 people and 2 kitchens. Or take the penthouse in Chalet Oberberg, the adjacent building; it sleeps 8 in one unit with 4 bedrooms. These two chalets are on the upper road in Mürren, with fantastic views of the mountains across the valley.

You can also find most of these apartments on AirBnB, which is a good source for apartments in Switzerland. Often going with AirBnB allows more flexibility in dates than the agencies, some of which are tied to the “week to week” system.
For other towns, each area usually has listings of holiday flats on the community website. This one covers the lower elevation areas around Interlaken and the lakes:

It is probably too early to book for September 2025, but you can have a look around and get a feel for what is available.

To add to Lola's excellent advice, I would just add to check VRBO too. I planned a somewhat last-minute trip and was able to find something perfect there (stayed in Murren). They are usually not on my radar, but I make it a point to check there now.
