Family group of 10, looking for an apartment in Murren for 3 nights

Our first stop while spending 2 weeks in Europe will be Murren. ( may31-June 3). Expect to be there 3 nights. We are a retired couple, traveling with our two adult sons and their families, 4 adults and 4 children (9 - 12 years) total of 10. Hoping an apartment might be economical for us. Any suggestions? We love this area and used to stay in Grindelwald!!

That's a large apartment! I think I'd see if Denise's Chalet Fontana is available.

The apartment at Chalet Fontana holds 6 maximum, so 4 people would be upstairs in double rooms. Total price for the group 480 CHF per night. Since it is not available for your dates, I am posting that just for comparison purposes.

For a bit more, you could book the 3-bedroom, 2bsth large apartment in Chalet Oberdorf, onnthe upper Road in Mürren with wonderful views from the large terrace.

We stayed there withbour adult kids and grandchildren last summer and loved it. The open -plan kitchen, living, and dining area is large and bright, with modern furnishings and appliances. It is very pleasant and comfortable for a group. The maximum capacity is listed as 7, but you could ask Johnny ( the owner) if the smallest child could share the king bed with parents, or perhaps an older child could sleep on the living room sofa. The other three children would share the bunk room, and the two sets of parents would have the other two bedrooms. Grandparents would have to get a hotel room nearby for sleeping, but could spend mealtimes, etc. with the group in the apartment.

If available, it should be 425 CHF a night, including the "owners fee". Harmed by TripAdvisor. We rented through this platform and it was very easy to communicate. Younwould have additional cost for the Grandparents'' hotel room. Hotel Jungfrau is a budget option and it the closest, just across a small plaza from the apartment. Hotel Bellevue is nicer and just a bit farther.

It looks to be pretty well booked up for summer, but maybe you can find dates that work.
