I want to buy an eSIM (not physical SIM) at the airport.
Any recommendations as to specific shop locations within the airport?
Any recomnendations as to service carriers which provide reliable connections for data , text, and voice?
Thanks
Ken

The place to buy an eSIM is at home, before you leave. Then you activate it when you land.
I use Holafly. There are many other suppliers.
The standard SIM recommend is to wait until you're in a major city, not at the airport where there is likely a markup and a mob.
Also realize it will take some time and the help of a salesperson, along with whatever ID is required these days.
It's easy to google up the Swiss cell providers themselves and see the pros and cons. Travel vloggers usually have the eSIM companies as sponsors and offer discount codes.
I always buy my esim in advance, install it, and then activate it upon landing. Is there a special reason you want to wait until the airport? My system has worked very well for me. I usually use the Airalo App.
My last trip went through 6 different countries in Central Europe. I purchased a regional app and went seamlessly from one to another.
You buy an eSIM online via an app - not in person. If your phone doesn’t currently have an eSIM you can usually convert your phone. Note that if you have an iPhone the phone will need to be unlocked to use an eSIM.
