End of April-Early May Recs needed!

Hi, traveling with bf from Zurich to Geneva end of April to May. We are huge trail runners, hikers, and outdoorsy people. We don't care too much for cities, and we want to focus on the more outdoor forward locations (Interlaken, Zermatt). Anyone have any weather related advice for this time of year? What should we expect? Will it be too early to do trail running? Open to any and all advice for places to see/things to do during this time along the said route. Ty for your help!

Here are some things I like at that time of year:

The Narcissus trails above Montreux are spectacular. You can check the blooming status here once it starts, perhaps you will hit the beginning of it

Near Interlaken, Giessbach falls should be near their peak and definitely worth a visit. There is a nice hiking trail from Iseltwald to Giessbach, or you can do the longer Three Waterfalls Trail

Also for when you are in the Interlaken area, this special is on. You can choose three of the five outings (I always choose the three mountains 😁). Tickets can only be purchased in advance, before April 14th and are valid from April 15th to May 31st for the 59.00 option. This is a really good price because just to go up one of these mountains is 60.00 regular price.

I love the spring here, even now the days are sometime sunny and warm, the mountains covered in snow, cows are out in the fields on the warmer afternoons...everything is looking very Swiss. You probably won't be able to do much hiking/running higher up, but there are lots of lower elevation trails to explore.
