Anyone with boots on the ground in the jungfrau have an idea (wild prediction :) when the Eiger trail and schynige platte hikes might open? Based on the trail opening web sites - they are currently closed. Will be there in about 2 1/2 weeks. From what I read / see this summer appears not as cold as last when it seemed many trails were closed longer than usual due to some late stormy weather. Many thanks.

I see more green checks than red x marks. So, that’s a good sign.
And check when you are there too. A trail that is closed one day, might be open the next.

My prediction is that you have a decent chance in 2.5 weeks and if not, there are plenty of perfectly great options that already are or will be open by then.

Certainly at least some of the Schynige Platte hikes will be open when the season begins on June 21st.
