Hello everyone. We are heading back to Switzerland in Mid-September. We are just curious if anyone has ben there since the new EES system is in place and what we can expect at Zurich airport. We arrive around 8:00 am on a Tuesday. Thank you in advance for your experiences.

Yes. We just did that not too long ago. Arrived ZRH 8 AM.It took us over an hour to get through passport control. They do your EES as part of that process , if you don't have it already. If you do have it , it's still the same line and would take the same amount of time.

Zurich passport control has always been hit or miss for me. I've walked right through, and I've also waited nearly 90 minutes. That was before EES, so I'd expect the same uncertainty now. The biggest variables are how many flights arrive at the same time and how well passport control is staffed.
