We have e-biked a lot around Zermatt, Wengen,, Murren, Lauterbrunnen, and the Vallemaggia out of Ascona. We are looking for other charming, scenic areas of Switzerland/northern Italy where we can do the same. We have considered the Dolomites or Poschiavo areas but I don’t know anything about routes that are available there. With e- bikes we have gone 90 km w/several hundred meters in elevation gain without issues. We will be leaving Ascona in the next couple of days so the areas I had been looking at around Pontresina/Flims/Silvaplana seem a bit chilly for this type of activity. Any suggestions?

We were in Pontresina this time last year and it was a mountain biker's paradise. Please do consider that area. My husband rented a bike because he just couldn't be there and not ride.

In the Alpe di Siusi a couple of weeks ago we saw many many e-cyclers. There are many bike-friendly trails. My experience is that there is still good weather to be had there. We’ve been there late in September than this and did not suffer, but you have to be prepared for occasional showers and possibly cold temps. We have been hiking in the Dolomites the past 10 days and saw lots of ebikes on the trails. One of the Refugio’s we passed, Refugio Firenze above Santa Cristina in the Val Gardena, had a charging station for Ebikes. They do not mention it on their website, but I took a photo of it.
