Can anyone tell me what the drive is like from Geneva to Zurich in early September?

Boring, mostly. Autobahn/Autoroute all the way through the "Mittelland" (Swiss plains). But with occasional views of the Alps to the south or the Jura to the north.
Unless you have a need for a car before and after, I would do it by train.
