Do I need 'Swiss Travel Pass Flex + Half Fare Card Combi"?

This is my travel plan for 13 day trip to Switzerland:
Geneva to Lausanne to Lauterbrunnen (cable car/mountain trains to Murren-Gimmelwald-Wengen-Jangfraujoch-Grindelwald). From Lauterbrunnen to Lucerene to Appenzell to Zurich.

This is the pass I think I would need:
Swiss Travel Pass Flex + Half Fare Card Combi
https://traintickets.myswitzerland.com/rail-tickets-passes/swiss-travel-pass-flex-with-half-fare-card-combi/index.html

Because my understanding is that Swiss travel pass alone wont work in mountain area trains or cable cars, or it will have only minimal discount in those area. Correct me of I am wrong. Will this work or is there any other cheaper option?
Thank you

[edited] The Swiss Travel Pass Flexi will completely cover travel (on days it is active) up to Mürren, Gimmelwald, Wengen, and Grindelwald. It will take 50% off the trip from Mürren up to the Schilthhorn, and 25% off the trip from Wengen up to the Jungfraujoch. In between those counted travel days, the half-fare card takes 50% off all trips on anything that moves in the country, including the Jungfraujoch.

So, you will get benefit from the half-fare addition on the days you don't have full coverage. And, if possible, try to schedule your Jungfraujoch trip on a half-fare day rather than a Swiss Pass day.

You really need to set up a spreadsheet and price each leg from the Swiss rail site, www.sbb.ch/en.
Often, just buying the straight 30 day half fare card for 120 CHF saves the most money, if being slightly less convenient.
