Discounts on Swiss Scenic Journeys

Hi, I will do a two-week trip to Switzerland in April-May 2023 and I intend to take the scenic rail journeys - Golden Pass, Bernina Express, and Glacier Express. Is it best to purchase a Swiss Travel Pass, Eurail Global Pass, or Swiss Half-Fare Card?

The Swiss public transport system is available in English. You can look all the prices etc... yourself. And it would be a good skill to learn before you do come to visit us.

my expectation is that you will travel within Switzerland beyond those three named trips. If so, and if you intend to use various local transport it will benefit you to do the arithmetic.

In two weeks you will surely do more than three train trips. What else is on the agenda?

Hi, after two days in Milan and three days in Lake Como, we'll take a train to Tirano and then the Bernina Express to St Moritz. After a night there, we'll take the Glacier Express to Zermatt (two days there), and from there a train to Montreux (one day). From Montreux, we'll take the Golden Pass to Interlaken, spend three days in Mürren, and then get back on the Golden Pass to Luzern where we will spend two days before heading home.
