Hi
Was originally planning on taking the train from Zurich to Lindau Germany on Lake Constance . We will be staying one night there.
Now I am wondering if it would be more fun to take the train to somewhere in Switzerland on lake Constance and then take a boat.
Has anyone done this? and how hard would it be?
Would it be better to just decide if we want to do a boat ride when we get to Lindau?
We will have luggage - but roll-ons.
Thanks
It will take a bit longer and cost a little more. The EC train leaves at 9:16 and gets in at 11:05 and costs 44 chf.
For the boat, the 10:07 train, changing at Romanshorn to Rorschasch Hafen, arriving at 11:48 and costs 35 chf.
The 11:55 boat to Lindau arrives at 12:55 and costs 17 chf. This runs only weekdays as for as I can tell.
Your luggage should not be an issue for boarding the boat; there's always room to stash it.
I think the boat option would be the most fun, memorable, and rewarding. Lindau is a wonderful city, enjoy it.
