We bought 4 tickets for Jüngfrau this morning. We left Wengen at 07:46 am and the train reached Jungfrau around 9am. Our return ticket was for 12:15 but we were able to take an earlier train. In the morning rush we did not realize that our 20% morning discount wasn’t applied. Is there any way to receive a refund for that extra portion that we paid?
You didn’t have another discount, did you? I see the 20% discount cannot be combined with other discounts such as Half Fare travelcard, GA travelcard, Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Half Fare Card, Eurail or Interrail Pass.
Did you have a seat reservation or other proof that you were on that early train? If so, I would take that to the SBB office to ask about a refund.
Thank you for your reply. We have swiss travel pass and that discount was applied. May be the discounts can’t be combined. Where is the SBB office btw?
The "Good Morning Ticket" with 20% off is indeed only available as a full price ticket. The moment you apply another reduction (like the HFC, or the STP) you get a normal ticket.
If the STP reduction was applied they sold you the right ticket.
Anyway, you could go to the ticket office. It would be a JB ticket office, as the closest SBB one would be in Thun :-)
