What time of year?
What do you like to do? Hiking? Museums? Lakes? Villages? Cities? Restaurants/Shops?

Take a train trip to Stein-am-Rhine……lovely storybook village near Zurich where you could spend a day.

When we were in Zurich, our day trips were: one day to Lucerne (we had a car, but totally doable by train); and one half-day on a Lake Zurich cruise.

Going back in September 2026 and we'll do a one day trip to the Rhine Fall by train. It has ferries that cross in front of the falls and lovely villages on each side of the river.
