Looking for reputable travel companies for day trips. Is Viator an option? Reviews are mixed.

Viator is a third- party broker. It's best to book directly with the tour company.
The Swiss transportation system is so user- friendly, are you sure you need an organized tour? Where do you want to go?

Rick's books always have daytrips, have you done that reading? The other thing about Viator is they represent tour companies, so you can often do some google and figure out which company actually offers the tour and contact them.
