1 Wengen to murren means u have to go back down to lauterbrunnen?
is this covered by half fare card?
2 wengen to Mannlichen open? covered by HFC?
3 Mannlichen to Kleine Scheid closed? early march?

Yes to reach Mürren you go down to Lauterbrunnen and up the other side. And yes it is covered by the Half Fare card.
The trail from Mannlichen to KS is groomed for winter walking and open in March. And the cable card is covered with the HFC.

To get to Murren from Wengen you have 2 options.
Train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen > Walk across the street to the Grutschalp cable car > Cable car to Grutschalp > Train to Murren (this puts you on the north side of the village)
Or
Train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen > Walk over to the bus stop and take the bus to Stechelberg > Cable car to Gimmelwald > Cable car to Murren (this puts you on the south side of the village at the Schilthornbahn where you can continue riding up the Schilthorn if you’d like)
