My 22 yr old son is taking my 16yr old daughter on a bonding trip to Switzerland 14 days and then another 4 days in Paris. They are going to stay with a friend he knows on Lake Constance for 4or 5 days. It's near Bregenz. They want to do day trips from there. They for sure want to go to Fussen, Germany to see the castles. I need to figure out if a train will take them? Does anyone have any other ideas for day trips from Bregenz.
I'm also looking for suggestions for them to travel after that through Switzerland. They will want to spend 5-6 of their days hiking.
Should they go to Appenzell?
Then into Berner Oberland area, Split the time in the different areas up?
Go to Lake Geneva?
Up to Bern?
To Zurich then to Paris.
