I am planning a trip to Switzerland and am interested in visiting Danis and Surrein. Am I am able to use mass transit to get to these two destinations or will I need to rent a car?
Both Danis and Surrein appear to have rail service. Use this website to plan your route and then the SBB.ch website for more specific details.....
Danis is a bus, as far as I can tell, from Tavanasa-Breil/Brigels, unless you mean the other one near the Albula Line (which isn't) (which one do you mean?); Surrein is a train ride.
Danis-Tavanasa is a hamlet in the village of Breil/Brigels, Kanton Graubünden. It has a station called Tavanasa-Breil/Brigels, on the line between Chur and Disentis.

Surrein is a hamlet in the village of Sumvitg, also Kanton Graubünden. It has a station called Rabius-Surrein, further along the same line.

You can look up trains to both places on the SBB (Swiss Railways) site: https://www.sbb.ch/en/
But you may need a taxi for the last Km depending on where you are staying.
Both are small and obscure places. Unlikely anybody has heard of them.
Thank you everyone for the information. You help fill in some gaps in my trip planning. Something I found somewhat hard to do since I had trouble locating these two places on a map. Thanks Again.
