Covid requirements for entry into Switzerland

I just read about the new ruling on covid test requirements. If vaccinated and recovered, no need for pcr test in order to come into the country. Yea! However, there are members of our family who have not gotten covid but are completely vaccinated and boosted. So, will these family members still need to be tested? Or does the exemption only apply to those who have had covid and are fully vaccinated? We are not leaving for Switzerland until early June, so I do realize that things might change, but I'm trying to line up all my ducks ahead of time - just to be ready for every possible scenerio.

No test is needed to enter if vaccinated. Sorry for any confusion. I changed the post to read "vaccinated or recovered" to make it more clear.

This is such good news! Fingers crossed that it will stay that way…

Hi everyone: I really need some clarification on the "fully vaccinated" definition. It seems that vaccinations that are more than 270 days old will NOT meet the Swiss requirements. I received my 2nd shot in March 2021 and then received my booster in December 2021. When I visit Switzerland in June 2022 will I be considered "fully vaccinated" and be able to have the Swiss Covid certificate so I can go to restaurants?

This is really worrying me. I hope you can help clarify it for me.

Hi Link, 270 days is 9 months. So, with a booster in Dec. you will be within the 9 months if a certificate is still required come June.

My trip is also in June. And, while I’m keeping up with the requirements for Switzerland, I expect things to change multiple times before the summer. So, I’d try not to worry too much now. I know, that’s easier said than done. 😊
