Construction in Murren

Does anyone know if the construction in Murren is completed? We are staying in an AirBnB ate the Sports Center and worried about cranes blocking views and noisy helicopters bringing in construction supplies.
Also, any information of other parts of the region to avoid due to construction.
Thanks

We were in Murren in the middle of this month. There was some light construction going on when we were there for our 2 days but it didn't cause a bother and we barely noticed it.
The Shilthorn (the level with Piz Gloria entrance) had constant noisy work going on when there at the observation level. ugh. Unfortunate and not a lot of peaceful tranquility but the views weren't obstructed.
Hope you enjoy your trip! :)

The construction in front of the Sportzentrum (the renovation of the Murren Palace) was finished in December. The main construction in Murren is finishing up the Schilthornbahn on the other side of the village. It's not an issue. And helicopters are fascinating to watch, not a bother when they come, if you chose to enjoy them in that way. The rescue helicopter landing site is in front of the Sportzentrum, so you may get to see some rescues happen while you're there.

You're not going to be able to fully avoid construction in Switzerland. Tourism means expansion and construction and their construction season is short because of their long winters, so when things need to be done, then have to be done in the summer. It's not something that will consume your trip, it's just part of it.

I agree watching the helicopters would be interesting and kind of fun. I was just worried about cranes and construction obstructing the view.

Unfortunately you won’t get away from construction at any time of the year, even in winter. The Schilthornbahn YouTube channel has a great video showing how they worked through this past winter. Extra bonus - you can see just how beautiful it is up there at that time of year. Swiss German with English subtitles.
