Christmas in the BO

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 16yo, 12 yo). Planning six nights in Wengen for Christmas 2025 to explore the BO and ski (if conditions permit). My husband and I have been to the BO a couple of other times in summer, so we know the region somewhat, but it's been 20 years!

Questions/Asks:
1) Staying in Wengen. Would love restaurant recommendations in Wengen, Murren, Lauterbrunen, etc. Particulalry for a nice Christmas dinner.

2) Transportation Pass: Will the Jungfrau Pass suffice for getting around? Or is it better to get the Swiss Half Fare card? Or what? So many choices. I am certain we will go to Murren at least once from Wengen. Maybe twice. We are buying 3 days of lift tickets for skiing and hoping for the best with the weather. Maybe go to Lauterbrunen as well.

3) Ideas for activities with teen in case the weather is bad and we can't ski. Our hotel has a pool, for this reason. But, they can only swim for so long. We saw an idea for a chocolate making class in Lauterbrunen. Other ideas like this?

Thanks!

Since you are already getting lift passes, just get them for 5 days instead of 3. The regional ski passes cover everything, even better than the Jungfrau Travel Pass or the Half fare Card. Nobody is checking if you have skis or not, only that your pass opens the turnstile.

Ideas for when you can't ski:

There are a lot of great winter hiking trails in the area

I have walked Grütschalp - Mürren in very thick fog in the winter and it is a cool experience. The trail is wide (basically a single lane access road) with no drop-offs or anything like that. Winter hiking trails all have poles along the way to mark the edge of the trail - they are painted a sort of purple/pink at the top and are very visible in all weather. This is an additional help in remaining on the path at all times. On a sunny winter day the scenery is spectacular!

Interlaken usually has a lot of winter activities, as well as various Christmas markets
