We are visiting end of May and wanted to seek everybody's recommendation on which 2 mountain should we visit. We do not have time to see all 3, so we wanted to know which two would be the best? Would you recommend Matterhorn, Schilthorn or Jungfrau. We intend to sightsee and not really into winter sports or hiking. Just the best view for the buck.
Look at a map and you'll see it would make more sense to pick Schilthorn and Jungfrau.
It may depend upon your age. We grew up seeing images of the Matterhorn. To see it in person was outstanding. There are easy places to walk nearer, basically the beginnings of hiking trails, no special footwear (or lung power) required. We loved Switzerland; you will too!
It purely depends on where your travelling too and where your staying! The Schilthorn & Jungfrau are in the same area, only separated by the Lauterbrunnen valley. Whereas the Matterhorn is a distance away...
But from our travels to Switzerland a few years back there is nothing as majestic as the Matterhorn! And out of the other two we loved our time on top of the Schilthorn more than Jungfraujoch...
