Looking for information on chocolate tours that kids will enjoy. Preferably with easy reachability from Interlaken. I did the notice the Chocolate train from Montreux but keeping that as last option since it does not seem to be covered by STP and has other things the kids may not enjoy.
Will you have a car? If you love chocolate, then you know the Cailler name. The guided chocolate tour at their factory in Broc is excellent. They begin in their museum with a history of chocolate making, then you see how they make it. You end up with a chance to taste all of the varieties of chocolates that they make ( all you care to eat!), Plus an opportunity to buy your favorites at their store. I loved this because it is very good quality chocolate that is hard to buy in North America.
Thanks, @CJean. We decided not to get a car based on all the advice here! May have to rethink the decision Just kidding! :)
Will check out how to reach Broc.
DB and SBB schedules will give you directsion to the Broc-Fabrique stop on the local S trains. From Montreux, trains depart hourly and you connect at Montbovon and Bulle.
Also consider Laederach in Vevey, which offers tours and a few classes open to kids.
