Chances for good visibility with forecast of rain?

I will be staying in gimmelwald September 21-25 and looking at the forecast right now it is saying cloudy with chances of rain for every day and even a little bit of snow. What are the chances with this forecast that there will still be good visibility? We were hoping to hike the schilthorn. If it is raining would it not be worth doing the hike?

It is way too early to be looking at a forecast for September 21-25. What you're seeing is some kind of historical average for those dates.

I'm most mountain climates, April and May, September and October can be rainy. In Summer, it rains in The Alps most afternoons just before 6:00 pm.
You just have prepared for whatever weather may come your way.

the residents of Gimmelwald will be waiting for the 8pm forecast on the 20th.......

anyone who says they can predict swiss weather this far out is either a liar or a company hoping to earn revenue from clickbait advertising.

Weather in Switzerland is unpredictable until the night before, and even then it can surprise you the next morning! Also, if the forecast says rain, it could mean only late in the day, so you could hike earlier. If it says cloudy, see how much--even if the top half of the mountains are shrouded in clouds, the views are spectacular. The MeteoSwiss app lets you see the forecast hourly, in detail, of how hard it may rain, for how long, and extent of cloudiness, too.
