Just a heads up for people....
I was at Zurich Train Station yesterday and discovered that the toilets are card only now. In theory you could by a card at a vending machine to get around the problem, only thing is the vending machines were not taking cash at that time!
Yep, becoming the standard for the private companies that run these systems. Ran into these in Germany as well.
This is becoming the new normal in Europe, but I saw this in CH years ago. I'm not opposed if it means the loos are clean and stocked and well maintained.
When my husband & I were in the Zürich HB last month, I don’t remember not being able to use coins to use the bathroom.
