We are renting a car. Is it worth it to get the Swiss Travel Pass also if we are going to Bernese Oberland?

Is it worth getting a car if you're going to the Berner Oberland?
Seriously, we need more details - what is your itinerary? You do know that many mountain villages are car- free zones, right? Your question is way too broad for any of us to answer.

Note that in the Bernese Oberland getting a Jungfrau Pass or the Bernese Oberland Pass is usually better. The STP only coves public transit, not mountain railways. It does give you a reduction on mountain railways, but so does the HFC.
So my advise is to people to get the Half Fare Card, and if they stay long enough in the Oberland to get one of the local passes. And once you have the Half Fare Card there is really not much point in getting a rental car.
