What does Switzerland require?
Sure can. Details can be found on the US embassy page here https://ch.usembassy.gov/embassy/liechtenstein/u-s-citizenship-services/covid-19-faq/
Basically, you will need proof of vaccination and entry form.
Go here https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home/krankheiten/ausbrueche-epidemien-pandemien/aktuelle-ausbrueche-epidemien/novel-cov/empfehlungen-fuer-reisende/quarantaene-einreisende.html
If you are vaccinated you are fine but you have to fill out some forms. Also you can check the US embassy site, you can contact your airline, but your best bet is the Swiss government websites
keep up to date on what you have to do to come BACK ....
Ok. Thank you everyone,
Gparvin, please let us know how it goes as we are following behind you!
Our trip begins in Switzerland and ends in Amsterdam. This is what I've learned in order to come BACK into the United States from the Netherlands. Our trip is mostly a Viking Cruise and we purchased our air from them and ended up on United. United's website provides a link to a third part testing site. I purchased 6 portable self-administered COVID tests and downloaded the company's (NAVICA) app. The cost was $150 and they're only sold in sets of 6. X-days before coming back we take the test while being watched via webcam. We don't mail the swab to anyone so I assume it's something like a pregnancy test.....maybe?......I don't know.
Assuming we're both negative we receive a QR code on the app and we show it before boarding. Not saying this is the only way to enter the US, but this is what United offered so I did it.
