Fellow travelers: We will be taking the Golden Pass train from Lucerne to Montreux and then on to Lausanne. I would appreciate recommendations for a memorable cable car ride and paragliding experience along the way. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Jim
I have used Paragliding Jungfrau in the past and recommend them. They have jump points throughout the Berner Oberland.
I had planned to do so in Switzerland last year, until I accidentally discovered that my trip insurance doesn't cover such "Extreme Sports". I'm sure the adventure is safe, but decided not to test the fates. I'll do it here in CA.
Safe travels!
You might take a look at this place in Gstaad, which is right along the railroad route you will be taking.

Berner Obeland locations will probably require a detour from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, but the cable car ride is spectacular and the scenery unmatched. One thing that could throw a monkey wrench into your plans is weather on your travel day. You'll have better luck if you hang around a few days.
The Golden Pass train is actually 3 separate trains, Luzern to Interlaken Ost, Interlaken Ost to Zweisimmen, Zweisimmen to Montreux.
Thanks for that rec, Fast Eddie. I had been looking at Airtime Paragliding in Murren (near where we'll be). I see that Paragliding Jungfrau also leaves from Murren and is the same price.
Wondering if there's any reason to choose one company over the other...
Thanks all!
Mike
