Buying Goldenpass Tickets on MOB or SBB

Hi all,

Would love to pick your brain about making GoldenPass seat reservations (we're just making seat reservations since late July is high season - we will have the Swiss Travel Pass). it looks like you can buy tickets on the MOB website OR SBB. Is one better than the other?

And since we're making seat reservations in advance, is it possible to exchange the seat reservation in case weather conditions are bad? We're planning to take the train around July 19th or 20th.

You cannot buy MOB seat reservations on the SBB site. Try it, and you will get a message on each train "Seat reservation not possible". I don't think MOB sells seat reservations more than 2 weeks in advance. I don't believe you can exchange the reservation due to inclement weather.

Thanks, Sam! That's good to know and you're right - SBB does not allow me to make a seat reservation for the MOB trains. I'm trying it on the MOB website and it looks like it is showing me trains for more than 2 weeks out and letting me pick seats.

And since we have the Swiss Travel Pass, I'm selecting "reservation only" since the train ticket itself is covered by the pass, correct?
