Hi, I will be in Morges in early June for work but want to go to Venice, Italy for 2-3 days but need advice on other recommended destination(s) that I can go to with spouse that is within easy distance for another 2 or 3 days. Either in Switzerland , Italy or France. I am willing to fly out of final country destination.

There is a direct train from Lausanne to Venice, so it would make sense to go somewhere along that route. Lake Garda is on the route and is lovely. “peschiera del garda” is the train stop. You can also visit Verona, Breachia & Lake Iseo all in that general area in between Morges & Venice.

I have not been to Venice so can't offer any advice on that. However, I can suggest a couple places to visit during down time in Morges.
Château de Vuillierens. Morges - I have not been to this chateau, but have on it good authority that it has beautiful gardens is well worth a visit. It is near Morges and if you have some time or your spouse would be interested it would be a nice place to visit. It has been rainy on my last two trips to that area on the day I was able to go. It's on my list for the next trip.
Nyon - a nice place to walk around. In the town has an elevator to take you down to the lake. Or, alternatively, there is a beautiful path with a garden. A good restaurant there is the Croix Verte. A friendly owner and good service. There is a boat in Nyon that goes across to Yvoire which is a beautiful medieval town and also has wonderful flowers. (You can tell I love flowers.)
