I will be staying in Pontresina and will need to get to St. Moritz, to take the Glacier Express.
When I checked SBB, there were trains as well as buses. Which and how is the better way
to connect?

Trains are always quicker than buses, and get you to the station, which is where you need to be to catch the Glacier Express.
It takes less than 20 minutes either way, and there lots of trains, so no problems.
