Budget hotel near Zurich HB

Hotel Bristol. I have stayed there twice, once in 2014 (on a recommendation from Rick Steves' guidebook) when we stayed for three nights, and again last December, when I stayed for one night.

It is nothing fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, reasonably priced (for Zurich), on a quiet street and very convenient to the HBF.

I was very happy with the Fred Hotel in Zurich. It is very close to the central train station.

I would also recommend the Fred Hotel (it had a different name last time I stayed there) - https://fredhotels.ch/en/fred-hotel-zurich-hauptbahnhof/ .

It's right across from the Zürich Hbf and you should be able to walk there in less than five minutes. There's also a convenient stairway not far from the hotel entrance that leads down to the "Rail City" shopping centre, which is part of the station. As I recall, the hotel is right across the street from the Sihlquai bus stop where many tours depart from - https://www.switzerland-tours.ch/information/departure-zurich/ .
