Booking for Sleeper Car on CNL from Basel to Amsterdam

I'm confused about the booking I'm attempting to make to travel by City Night Line from Basel to Amsterdam!

Everything I read on the Bahn website shows that you can book travel on a CNL 90 days in advance. This doesn't seem to be the case, though.

I'm traveling on 17 September 2014 from Basel to Amsterdam and when I search the Bahn website for the non-stop CNL train to Amsterdam (originating in Zurich), it says "fares not available" and the only option I'm given is a City Night Line/Intercity route that changes in Frankfurt.

If I work backwards in my search, the first available date I can book the non-stop CNL from Basel to Amsterdam in 20 August 2014!

Can anyone shed some light as to the reason for this? The Bahn website says that CNL travel can be booked 122 days in advance! I even checked the Rail Europe website, and the train I'm looking for (CNL 40478 Departs Basel 22:13, Arrives Amsterdam 8:56 on 17 Sept) is not available for purchase yet either!

Any suggestions, fellow travelers?

City Night Line appears to be doing a rethink of their services. The Amsterdam-Munich service is showing similar issues. Both of these are now terminating in Koblenz(??) after August 22. You can purchase tickets now by leaving from Basel Bad station across the river from the main Basel station. Also, you can stay on the train an extra hour until 4:46 am by staying on until Koblenz, but you will need to make a change at Duesseldorf.

Say it ain't so, Sam!

I sure hope they're not going to discontinue this route I'm looking for! This overnight train trip is a dream of mine, as it's my first time traveling in Europe. I've sent a little note inquiring about same to Bahn. Hopefully, I'll hear back from them with some good news.

Thanks for your reply and good luck to you too!
