Myself and my wife will be visiting Lake Constance area during the third week of march, 2019. We will be traveling from Vienna by train, arriving at Feldkirch, Voralberg in the early afternoon. We are planning to purchase three-day Bodensee tickets and use the same (rather than buying individual train tickets) and travel to Konstanz (by OBB to St.Margrethen and then SBB) that afternoon, where we will be staying for next 3 nights.
While staying in Lake constance area, we are planning to visit places like Friedrichshafen, St.Gallen, Stein am Rhein, Rheinfall, etc on different days.We understand Bodensee ticket covers the train journeys to all these places, which should mean cheaper train travel on balance.
Question - Has any of the seasoned travelers on this forum has any experience using the Bodensee ticket?
I look forward to your response.
Hi Scythian, thank you very much for the good info on scenic train rides in the Bodensee area. Much appreciated.
I assume you have looked at www.bodensee.eu and are talking about the BodenseeCard Plus. We looked at the card but did not use because we weren’t going to more than one attraction a day
We did use that ticket - 1 day, 1 zone. Worked well
Did you buy this card, and how did it work out? I believe you are talking about the Bodensee ticket, not the Bodensee Plus Card that someone else was referring to below.
