We will be leaving Wengen a day before we are to get to Geneva airport (GVA) for the return trip home. We would like to take a boat ride leaving from the Montreux area to Lausanne and then spend the night there the night before our flight leaves (which is not until late afternoon the next day.). Is there a boat trip covered by the Swiss Rail Pass that would work and can we take luggage for four people on board or no? How often do the boats run?

Yes there is a boat that does this route, and it is fully covered by the Swiss Pass; luggage is no problem. I've done this journey a couple times, it's a very scenic journey and very memorable. Highly recommended!

Go to www.sbb.ch/en. Put in from Montreux to Lausanne. Then click on "advance search" and deselect all modes of transport except ship. Hit search and get the schedule, price with a half fare card. It will be covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.
