How important is it to be on the first cogwheel railway trip up Mt. Pilatus in the morning?
It looks like the train will get you from Luzern to Alpnachstad early enough in the morning to get the first train up. The fist boat, on the other hand, arrives later in the morning. Hoping to increase probability of clear views and fewer people by taking early train up. Otherwise, I would do the boat.
I will be there in mid-July.
