Looking for suggestions on a good cruise on Lake Lucern. We are not planning on doing either of the mountains but might be interested in smaller, interesting towns on the lake. Thoughts?

There is only one operator. Take the boat all the way to the end and back, with stops in between. I think at Vitznau, you can go up to Mt Rigi. Happy travels!

barkinpark, thats the ferry boat, right? There are also a bunch of smaller tour boat operators (on the shore just left of the river.) that do cruises if you just want to ride.
