Birthday Restaurant Help Lauterbrunnen or Neighboring Village

Hello travelers! Wondering if any of you could recommend a lovely restaurant to take my girlfriend to in or around Lauterbrunnen? We will be in CH during her birthday and will be in our Lauterbrunnen part of the holiday on the exact day.

I understand Hotel Oberland is very tasty, and as we will be staying at the hotel, I'm sure we will eat there another day. Was wanting to find something special that I could go ahead and book. I read there are some highly rated restaurants in Wengen or neighboring villages, but figured I'd reach out here to see if someone had experience at a specific place and could direct me better.

I know Lauterbrunnen isn't large having visited before, so I'm not opposed to jumping on a cable car or train to get to a great spot, but if there is a spot that takes the cake in LB then by all means let me know.

Thanks in advance!

We love the Stager Stubli in Murren and go there every year. THe food is excellent. Other good restaurants in Murren include Hotel Alpenruh, Hotel Bellevue and Hotel Blumental.

We ate all four nights at the Hotel Silberhorn in Lauterbrunnen. The food was excellent and the service quite friendly.

I second the Silberhorn. One of the best meals we have ever had.

In Muerren we favor the Hotel Bellevue restaurant. You can see photos of the dining room and check the winter menu here:

The summer menu will be different, and there are nightly specials. I has a wonderful pistachio-crusted trout there.

But the best meals we have had in Switzerland (and we have spent a total of ten weeks there) were at Hotel Baeren in Wengen. Here is an example of their menu (again, the dinner menu):

They use local produce as much as possible, and modern innovative recipes rather than traditional Swiss (the lime-ginger risotto was especially memorable).

...so looks like you’ll have no problem finding a good place.
