Binoculars recommended for Switzerland?

I’m going on the Best of Switzerland tour. Should I take binoculars? They are bulky so I would hate to take and seldom use. Thank you!

I've never taken binoculars to Switzerland. Those mountains are pretty big. :-)

Also, i have a decent zoom on my iphone.

I often wish I had them but I am not willing to schlep that weight.

I was on the Switzerland tour last year. The only time I would have wanted binoculars was when we were milling around after an activity and some cows were coming down a neighboring mountain. We could hear them, but they were tiny. The rest of the time binoculars would have been a waste of space. I got a decent view through the zoom on my camera.

Perhaps consider a smaller pair? We actually purchased a nice, small pair with excellent optics in Interlaken because my daughter wanted to have some. About CHF 220, which I thought was a good price for ones that weren't toy quality. When we were at the top of the Niederhorn, we could peer down into the valley on the other side from the Lake Thun view and see tiny farm houses and livestock. To each their own, but it added to our trip and I think the pair weighs about 2 lbs.

The store was Martinaglia Optiks on Jungfraustrasse: https://www.martinaglia-optik.ch/fernoptik-interlaken
