Hello, we'll be in Switzerland from May 9th -18th, and though we hope to have a chance to get into the Alps (thinking of the Lauterbrunnen Valley), we're quite aware that it could be cloudy and rainy. We love to be active: biking and hiking. Are considering a self-guided bike tour that starts in Geneva ,
and then to Morges, Yverdon, Murten, Solothorn and beyond (which we wouldn't do because of time constraints). I'm wondering how this route compares to doing the Aare Cycle Route. We love charming little villages and beautiful scenery and don't want to be pedaling in larger towns. We definitely want to save time for visiting Bern, Luzern and we fly into and out of Zurich, and, as I said, really hope to take the train to Schilthorn or Jungfrauhoch. Also, any suggestions for great lower elevation hikes in the areas mentioned. Thanks so much for some advice! This is becoming quite a project--this planning and it's overwhelming!
