Geneva will be only for one day, we will be driving, from Geneva we will be heading to Annecy. This trip will take place the later part of September. Please any and all advised will be much appreciated.

Not about Geneva itself, but if the day is perfectly clear and if you are able to leave Geneva at 4 PM or so, on the way from Geneva to Annecy, driving up Mont Salève and enjoying the views of Lake Geneva and the Jura on one side, then Mont Blanc and the Alps on the other is really worth it.

Some possibilities: You could visit John Calvin's church and climb the bell tower, visit the Red Cross Museum, and if it is a Wed/Sat browse the flea market at Plainpalais (not far from Calvin's church).
