Best way to see Lake Lucerne + Mt Titilis & Mt. Pilatus

My family of four (kids are 18 & 20) will be in Lucerne for only 1.5 - 2 days. We will arrive from Strasbourg at 11:00 or 12:00, will need to drop off bags and will be ready to get started.

Day 1 walk around town, eat, evening boat tour -
Day 2 We want to see Titilis & Pilatus - can we do both in one day? We will do the Mt Pilatus Golden Round Trip

Does it make sense to do a boat tour and the Golden Round Trip?

How long should we allow to see the lion?

If you do the boat trip then I would switch it to day 2 and combine it with a trip up Mount Rigi using cogwheel trains and cable cars for stunning scenery. (Just something to consider as a different option).
The Lion monument will probably take less than 30 minutes.
